On July 31, 2025, the National Institute for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University (NICFD) in collaboration with the Child Safety Promotion and Injury Prevention Center (CSIP), Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, organized a public outreach event titled “60 Years of Ramathibodi for the Well-being of Thai People.” The event focused on promoting safety within the community, with a particular emphasis on “Reducing Motorcycle-Related Risks for Adults and Children.”

The event was officially opened with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Noppawan Piaseu, Deputy Dean for Health Promotion, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, who set the tone for the day's activities. The training session also featured a keynote lecture on “Injury and Fatality Risks for Children Under 15 Years of Age from Riding and Riding as Passengers on Motorcycles,” delivered by Assoc. Prof. Adisak Plitponkarnpim, M.D., Director of NICFD and the CSIP, Ramathibodi Hospital. Over 600 participants attended the hybrid training session.

In addition, the event featured expert speakers who conducted demonstrations and lectures on "Reducing Motorcycle Riding Risks and Ensuring Passenger Safety for Children.” This activity aimed to raise awareness about the critical safety issues regarding motorcycle use, especially for children, and to promote better safety practices across communities.
