On September 18, 2024, Mahidol University's National Institute for Child and Family Development (NICFD) hosted a training session titled "PSEA: A Simple Matter for NICFD Members to Know." The session, led by Chatchai Imarom, M.D., the Deputy Director for International Relations, was of utmost importance. It focused on PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), a subject that is directly aligned with NICFD's mission of child and family development, as it addresses the prevention and protection of sexual exploitation and abuse within organisations.

He clarified the significance of PSEA and defined the procedures that all NICFD personnel should be aware of and adhere to guarantee the institute's safety. He underscored the importance of creating an organisational culture that emphasises safeguarding all individuals' dignity and rights. Furthermore, he provided real-world case studies and advice on reporting any inappropriate behaviour observed in the workplace.

The NICFD staff demonstrated substantial interest in the interactive platform and lecture that comprised the training session. Everyone was actively involved in the discussions, asking and answering questions. This event was a significant milestone in establishing a safer work environment and increasing awareness of this critical issue.
