Project : Adjusting the Early Childhood Center in the New Normal

Rationale: Once Thailand entered the 3rd wave of the COVID-19 outbreak, the National Institutes for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University has mobilized the public and educated people on how to prepare the childcare system under the outbreak of the COVID-19. The program :Adjusting the Early Childhood Center in the New Normal  aimed to have the nationwide early childcare centers understand about childcare system management within the pandemic situation.
Duration: 30 June 2021 – 31 August 2021
Venue: National Institute for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University  (online platform)
Related Organization/ Stakeholders: Mahidol University Amnatcharoen Campus, Schools, Government and Non-Government Organizations
Objectives: 1.    To mobilize the policy to the locals such as the Local Organization in different provinces,  Schools, and Early Childhood Development Centers.

2.    To educate the public such as the Local Organization in different provinces,  Schools, and Early Childhood Development Centers.

3.    To promote the home-based early childhood education and care under the COVID-19 outbreak.

4.    To create a prototype model of the early childhood development center with a best practice of surveillance system under new normal situation.

5.    To create a prototype model of the early childhood development center for stressful and traumatic children resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak.

Program Description: A public forum knowledge sharing.

Online lessons related  Early Childhood Development and Care

Targets: Parents, teachers, child caregivers, people related to child care and education
Participants: 8,600 people
Results: 1. A model of the early childhood development center with a best practice of surveillance system under new normal situation.

2. Sharing knowledge to the nationwide.

3. An online course for early childhood center in new normal situation.
