National Institute for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University, in collaboration with Child Safety Promotion and Injury Prevention Research Center, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, the Royal College of Pediatricians of Thailand, and Royal Thai Police hold a press conference on April 10, 2023, titled “The new car seat law has been announced..Songkran, how will children travel safely?” in response to create knowledge and understanding of compliance with the safety seat or priority seat laws for citizens, create a system to help people access more car seats along with suggesting the correct way to use the car seat to help reduce the death rate of children from accidents in travelling by car during the Songkran Festival of 2023, which is a dangerous 7-day period of travel.
