National Institute for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University, in collaboration with Child Safety Promotion and Injury Prevention Research Center, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, held a press conference on March 23, 2023, titled “A child died from overheating caused by leaving the child in the car” in response to the death of a child in a car caused by prolonged overheating to raise awareness of the reasons why children die in cars from overheating. Furthermore, it emphasises that car users are thoroughly inspected and reminded before locking the vehicle and prevent forgetting the child in the car along with establishing operational standards for effectiveness for the benefit of child safety management for society in the future.
