The National Institute for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University, organised a forum and workshop titled “Preventing ACEs from Early Childhood: Reducing Inequality and Building Family Well-being in the New Economy” at the 18th National Health Assembly on 28 November 2025 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
The event featured a panel discussion exploring key issues, including risks to young children in the new economy, health data systems that leave no child behind, case-by-case interventions to restore families, and the role of local policies in protecting children.
The program concluded with four hands-on workshop stations using fundamental tools: data recording in the “Toem Tem” application; health information systems and individual care plans; positive parenting promotion; and screening using the MU-MDP-ACE-01 tool.
The Institute hopes that local agencies will apply these concepts and tools to develop strong child and family support systems further, reduce inequality, and ensure that Thai children grow up safely in the new economic era.
